As a prospective candidate you need to be able to back up all of the above key attributes with relevant experience in your academic track record, previous work experience as well as any extracurricular hobbies and personal interests.

Responsibilities

  • Undergo training in sales, account management, and OCL service offerings to build a strong understanding of the firm's value proposition.
  • Identify and map potential clients to generate new business opportunities, primarily among oil traders, risk management teams, investment banks, hedge funds, industrial end users, refineries, and related sectors.
  • Manage and grow existing client accounts through relationship-building, upselling opportunities, and consistent client engagement.
  • Develop strong client relationships through a consultative sales approach, including targeted outreach and research-driven communication.
  • Collaborate with traders on research, development, and implementation of new trading strategies, as well as assist with futures and OTC executions.
  • Drive Flux sales initiatives, including introducing and demonstrating the Flux platform, identifying potential users, and supporting adoption across the client base.
  • Support Flux marketing efforts by assisting in campaign planning, preparing promotional materials, and enhancing brand visibility within the trading and investment community.
  • Engage in client networking and relationship-building activities, both during and outside standard working hours.

We're looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Degree in Economics, Energy, Finance, or a related discipline, with strong foundations in critical thinking and strategic analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to present ideas clearly and thoughtfully in different settings.
  • Strong analytical ability, including the skill to interpret complex data and make well-timed, informed recommendations.
  • Native-level proficiency in Mandarin or Japanese to liaise effectively with respective market stakeholders.
  • Naturally builds rapport and long-term professional relationships through credibility, tact, and attentive communication.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a high-performing, target-driven team, adapting style to the situation when needed.
  • Genuine interest in the global energy and financial markets, with the curiosity to anticipate trends and act proactively.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for business engagements when required.
