Your new role
Leasing & Business Development
- Proactively source and engage prospective tenants through cold calls, networking, and market outreach.
- Attend to leasing enquiries, conduct mall viewings, and follow up to secure new leases.
- Drive new tenancy acquisitions while managing renewals of existing tenants.
- Identify market segments, business prospects, and suitable tenant categories collaborate with property agents when necessary.
- Negotiate commercial terms for new and renewal leases to achieve favourable outcomes.
- Conduct due diligence on prospective tenants to assess business viability and fit.
- Manage the full leasing cycle, including marketing materials, documentation, and tenancy execution.
- Strengthen tenant relationships and act as the key liaison for all leasingrelated matters.
Lease Administration & Management
- Prepare approval papers for offers, lease variations, and other submissions in accordance with internal policies.
- Draft, review, and process Letters of Offer, Tenancy Agreements, and variation documents.
- Coordinate with internal and external legal counsel on lease terms, amendments, and compliance matters.
- Work closely with internal teams (operations, marketing, finance, etc.) to resolve leasing issues.
- Communicate proactively with tenants on lease obligations, renewals, and operational queries.
- Support arrears followup and liaise with Finance on outstanding payments.
- Contribute to continuous improvements in lease management processes and documentation.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Department with special projects and assigned tasks.
- Support market research, competitor analysis, and tenant mix planning to enhance leasing strategies.
What you'll need to succeed
- Diploma or Degree in Real Estate, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Preferably at least 2 years of experience in retail leasing, retail operations, or business development.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals.
- Good team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Fast learner, resultsoriented, and marketsavvy with a positive, proactive attitude.
