Shopify Digital Marketing Executive
Job Summary
The Shopify Digital Marketing Executive is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing digital marketing strategies to drive traffic, engagement, and sales for a Shopify-based e-commerce platform. This role focuses on leveraging digital channels, analytics, and Shopify-specific tools to enhance brand visibility, customer acquisition, and retention. The executive collaborates with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and manage digital marketing campaigns across channels such as SEO, PPC, email marketing, social media, and content marketing to promote Shopify store products.
- Shopify Optimization: Utilize Shopify's marketing tools (e.g., Shopify Email, Shopify Analytics) to create targeted campaigns, optimize product listings, and improve conversion rates.
- SEO & Content Strategy: Conduct keyword research, optimize on-page SEO elements, and develop content strategies to improve organic search rankings and drive traffic to the Shopify store.
- Paid Advertising: Manage and optimize paid ad campaigns on platforms like Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and Instagram Ads, ensuring maximum ROI and alignment with budget goals.
- Email Marketing: Design and execute email marketing campaigns, including newsletters, abandoned cart recovery, and promotional emails, using Shopify's email tools or integrated platforms like Klaviyo.
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor and analyze campaign performance using Shopify Analytics, Google Analytics, and other tools to provide actionable insights and data-driven recommendations.
- Social Media Engagement: Develop and manage social media strategies to increase brand awareness and drive traffic to the Shopify store, collaborating with influencers where applicable.
- Customer Journey Optimization: Enhance the customer experience by analyzing user behavior, improving site navigation, and implementing personalized marketing tactics.
- Market Research: Stay updated on e-commerce trends, competitor strategies, and Shopify platform updates to ensure marketing efforts remain competitive.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in digital marketing, with at least 1-2 years working with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms.
- Skills:
Strong understanding of Shopify's ecosystem, including apps, themes, and marketing tools.
Proficiency in digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Ads, Google Analytics, Instagram).
Expertise in SEO, PPC, and email marketing best practices.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
Creative skills for content creation and campaign ideation.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Certifications: Certifications like Google Ads, Google Analytics, or Digital Marketing are a plus.
