DFT Engineer | Semiconductor | Test Pattern | Silicon Validation | Singapore

ThunderSoft is hiring a DFT Engineer to support a leading semiconductor project in Singapore.

This role is a great opportunity for early-career semiconductor engineers who are interested in DFT, test pattern development, SoC bring-up, silicon validation, and post-silicon debugging.

You will work closely with IC Design, Firmware/Software, Verification, Characterization, and ATE teams to develop and debug test solutions throughout the product development cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop efficient and cost-effective structural and functional test patterns to support product quality and release schedules.

• Develop and validate bring-up sequences for different IP blocks at the SoC level through simulation, emulation, bench testing, and ATE testing.

• Analyze test coverage, identify coverage gaps, and develop structural or functional test cases to address them.

• Debug test pattern-related issues and work closely with IC Design, Firmware/Software, Verification, Characterization, and Product Test teams to resolve issues efficiently.

• Support post-silicon debugging and validation activities using bench equipment.

• Support RMA debugging with the Quality team to help identify root causes and improve product quality.

• Work with ATE test teams to improve yield, reduce test time, and enhance overall test quality.

• Participate in pre-silicon validation through simulation and post-silicon validation/debugging.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, IC Design, or a related field.

• 1–3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.

• Hands-on experience with Verilog or SystemVerilog HDL coding.

• Experience with Embedded C / C firmware development for processors or microcontrollers.

• Scripting experience with Tcl, Python, Perl, or similar scripting languages.

• Good understanding of digital electronics and semiconductor fundamentals.

• Knowledge of structural and functional test concepts and methodologies.

• Experience with simulation, emulation, or post-silicon validation/debugging is preferred.

• Comfortable working in a Linux environment.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple technical activities and priorities.

• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with global cross-functional teams.
