Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage application deployments and prepare environments across INT, SIT, UAT, and production
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and robust infrastructure solutions for the Finance IT platform
- Conduct post-deployment smoke testing, perform initial issue analysis, and collaborate with development teams on root cause resolution
- Manage and support SQL-based application configurations, including stored procedures
- Configure and optimize Apache Spark clusters, including performance tuning and resource utilization analysis
- Integrate security practices and code quality tools (e.g., SonarQube) into the software development lifecycle
- Implement and enhance monitoring solutions to ensure system performance, availability, and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align DevOps initiatives with business objectives
- Research and adopt new technologies to improve deployment processes, scalability, and system efficiency
- Apply Agile and Scrum methodologies to support project delivery
- Streamline build and release processes in collaboration with development teams
- Manage source code repositories using tools such as Azure Repos and GitLab
- Mentor and support junior team members, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing
The Successful Applicant
A successful candidate should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related disciplines
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, software development, or system operations
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Perl
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps (TFS), GitLab CI, or CircleCI
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix system administration
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet
- Good understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and hybrid cloud environments
- Basic knowledge of distributed systems and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with network architecture and security protocols (e.g., SSL/TLS, firewalls, VPNs)
- Exposure to Big Data technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Spark Streaming, and Elasticsearch
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience handling complex system integration issues
- Knowledge of financial systems, regulatory reporting, or compliance is an advantage
