Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, ECS/EKS, Lambda, VPC, IAM).
- Manage Linux OS lifecycle (RHEL, Amazon Linux), patching, and compliance.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) and CI/CD automation.
- Troubleshoot applications on Linux servers and containers.
- Ensure security and compliance (CIS benchmarks, vulnerability remediation).
- Support containerization (Docker, ECS, EKS) and DevSecOps practices.
- Monitor systems using CloudWatch, Grafana; maintain dashboards and alerts.
- Follow ITIL processes for incident, change, and problem management.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and audit-ready records.
Requirements
- 3+ years managing AWS production environments with Linux focus.
- Strong skills in:
- AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, ECS/EKS, IAM, VPC)
- Linux administration (RHEL, Amazon Linux)
- IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
- Scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell)
- Security hardening and compliance (CIS benchmarks, IAM best practices)
- Container orchestration (Docker, ECS/EKS)
- Monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Grafana)
- Familiarity with GovTech frameworks (IM8, SHIP-HATS) and ITIL processes.
Preferred certifications:
- AWS Solutions Architect / SysOps Administrator
- RHCE or LPIC
- ITIL v4 Foundation
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
