About the Role
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with a strong background in software development and cloud infrastructure to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, deploying microservices, managing cloud environments, and ensuring seamless delivery of applications.
This role requires a mix of development (Python/Node.js) and DevOps expertise to support scalable, secure, and reliable systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Support applications by troubleshooting issues, fixing bugs, and ensuring smooth operation.
- Manage and enhance CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or similar.
- Deploy and maintain applications in cloud environments (AWS/Azure), including scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Work with containerization (Docker) and assist in orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Collaborate with development and platform teams to ensure smooth integrations and deployments.
- Raise and manage service requests (SR), change requests (CR), and coordinate with cloud/infra teams.
- Provide instructions and support to other application teams when needed.
- Participate in client projects as requested.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in software development and DevOps.
- Strong programming background in Python and Node.js.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Proven knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, and architecture patterns.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
- Experience with Docker knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in Agile/SDLC environments.
Nice-to-Have (Good to Have)
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator/Engineer or equivalent cloud certifications.
- Experience with modern web frameworks (React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript ES6+).
- Familiarity with ITIL processes (SR/CR management).
