Devops Engineer (Azure)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Azure Cloud and CI/CD pipeline development. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing deployment tools, automation frameworks, and cloud infrastructure to support development and production environments. This role requires hands-on experience with end-to-end CI/CD processes, infrastructure as code, and deployment automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multiple applications and services.

• Develop and maintain deployment tools and automation scripts to support cloud infrastructure and application delivery.

• Manage and optimize Azure cloud infrastructure, including VMs, storage, networking, and services.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.

• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and release processes.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize deployment and cloud environments for performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Establish best practices for release management, version control, and environment standardization.

• Support migration and integration projects to modernize on-premise environments to Azure cloud.

• Provide documentation, training, and knowledge sharing to enable effective adoption of DevOps practices across the team.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps engineering or similar roles.

• Strong experience with Azure cloud services and cloud deployment strategies.

• Proven track record in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or similar).

• Solid scripting/programming skills: Python, PowerShell, Bash.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS).

• Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC), preferably Terraform or ARM templates.

• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Azure Monitor).

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred / Bonus Skills

• Experience with cloud migration projects (on-premise Azure).

• Knowledge of deployment tool development or automation frameworks.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.

• Exposure to multi-region cloud deployments and disaster recovery setups.
