We are seeking a hands-on DevOps / DevSecOps Engineer to manage CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and quality assurance for secure software delivery environments. The role involves working in air-gapped or high-security environments, ensuring reliable deployment, system configuration, and end-to-end testing of software and hardware solutions.
The ideal candidate will be technical, detail-oriented, and proactive, capable of collaborating with developers, QA, and infrastructure teams to maintain high-quality, secure, and scalable systems.
Key Responsibilities
CI/CD Pipeline Management
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment across Dev, Staging, and Production environments
- Work in air-gapped environments, ensuring secure and reliable software delivery without external network dependencies
- Manage release processes, including version tagging, deployment approvals, and artifact registries
- Streamline application rollout using deployment orchestration tools
Infrastructure Automation & Configuration
- Develop and maintain reusable templates/blueprints for system provisioning and configuration
- Implement version control and rollback mechanisms for infrastructure setups
- Configure and manage load balancers to ensure consistent routing and failover behavior
- Automate infrastructure tasks and manage artifact registries (e.g., Nexus, Harbor)
Quality Assurance & Testing
- Develop and execute automated and manual tests for software, devices, and configurations
- Collaborate with developers to create comprehensive test plans, troubleshoot issues, and improve coverage
- Perform end-to-end system testing, including workflows, load, and reliability tests
- Provide feedback for software design improvements to enhance testability and maintainability
- Assist in replicating and troubleshooting production issues in test environments
- Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools, trends, and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related fields
- 3+ years in DevOps / DevSecOps roles, preferably in secure or air-gapped environments
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI/CD
- Experience with infrastructure automation, artifact registries, and orchestration tools
- QA experience in device/software validation
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD YAML pipeline management
- Expertise in infrastructure automation and orchestration
- Comfortable in Linux environments
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, container registries, and Bash scripting
Preferred Certifications
- Kubernetes certifications (e.g., Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS))
- GitLab certififcations (e.g. GitLab Certified CI/CD Associate, GitLab Certified Security Specialist)
- DevOps/Site Reliability certifications from the Linux Foundation (e.g. Certified GitOps Associate (CGOA)) are also acceptable but GitLab certifications are still preferred
- HashiCorp Infrastructure Automation Certifications (e.g. Terraform Associate, Terraform Authoring and Operations Professional)
- Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform Certifications
- Cloud DevOps certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
