Job Summary
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to manage design projects from concept to completion. You will create functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces that meet clients needs, manage timelines, and collaborate with contractors and suppliers to ensure high-quality delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop interior design concepts and detailed plans to create functional and visually appealing residential or commercial spaces that meet client requirements
- Manage project timelines and coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely and quality delivery of design projects
- Apply expert knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp (with V-Ray or Enscape), or 3ds Max to produce accurate design drawings and 3D visualizations
- Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator) to enhance design presentations and client communications
- Interpret and apply construction details, carpentry joints, and local building codes/regulations to ensure compliance and feasibility of designs
- Communicate design ideas clearly and effectively in English to clients, contractors, and team members, facilitating smooth project execution
- Solve design and project challenges proactively while managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- Prepare and maintain a strong portfolio demonstrating creative design flair and technical competency for client presentations and internal reviews
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
- Proven experience in residential or commercial interior design at junior or senior levels
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp (with V-Ray or Enscape), or 3ds Max
- Strong understanding of construction details, carpentry joints, and local building codes/regulations
- Excellent communication skills in English
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator)
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin or other languages to coordinate with local contractors
