We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Designer to support ongoing construction projects, including residential and public sector developments such as HDB projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing technical drawings, coordinating submissions, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
This role requires close collaboration with project teams, engineers, consultants, and clients to ensure timely submission and approval of drawings and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare shop drawings, including key plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings for submission to clients and consultants
- Review construction drawings against contract drawings and highlight discrepancies for variation claims where necessary
- Liaise with professional engineers to develop design drawings and calculations for authority submissions
- Coordinate and monitor submission timelines to ensure timely approvals
- Provide technical support to project teams and clients as required
- Attend site meetings and conduct site verification when necessary
- Coordinate submission of shop drawings, samples, and related documentation
- Assist in preparing method statements, material specifications, and test reports for project submissions
- Maintain proper documentation and submission records
- Prepare and submit as-built drawings upon project completion
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Building Architecture, National Certificate in Construction Supervision (NCCS) or Engineering discipline
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in architectural or construction design
- Preferably accredited by and registered with BCA/IES/ACES
- Proficient in AutoCAD and experience with BIM will be an added advantage
- Good knowledge of architectural drawings and construction practices
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Able to work independently and manage submission deadlines
