Job Summary
Lead and manage design activities and teams to deliver drawings and documents on schedule. Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contract teams to ensure compliance with standards and timely submissions for large-scale construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Plan and control design team activities to deliver drawings and documents according to the master program timeline
- Manage client and consultant relationships to facilitate smooth project progress
- Develop and control drawing submission schedules, ensuring proper sequence and timing for drawing development
- Prepare and manage document submission schedules to meet approval timelines
- Coordinate design matters with consultants and clients to resolve issues and align expectations
- Ensure coordination of main contract and sub-contract designs complies with legal requirements, standards, and codes of practice
- Collaborate with the contract team to manage formal and informal design changes initiated by consultants
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline
- Minimum 10 years of working experience in the construction industry, preferably with exposure to large-scale, design-build projects
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in on-site execution, on-site design, and shop drawing preparation
- Leadership experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams including Civil, Architectural, and MEP disciplines
