Position Overview

The Design Manager, Civil Engineering, Singapore is responsible for the design, construction and implementation of Data Centers across all regions, ensuring it meets the strict quality and expected performance levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain design standards, design prototypes, and template specifications related to site design.
• Provide technical analysis, advice and input in civil and structural design and capacities.
• Manage multiple fast paced projects simultaneously to ensure all projects are delivered within cost, quality and time parameters.
• Prepare budget estimates and manage the design and construction costs.
• Identify solutions prior to and during the construction process to reduce costs without compromising on quality or reliability
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal and external engineers, consultants and project partners.
• Discuss and negotiate with clients, consultants and government authorities for design approval.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related disciplines
• Minimum 15 years of Civil Engineering experience in data center design and constructions
• Experience in warehouse or heavy industries factory construction is also welcomed.
• With international work exposure, especially in Indonesia, Taiwan, Singapore and China is an advantage.
• In-depth understanding of local design standards and regulations.
• Strong network within data center ecosystem with regulatory authorities, business partners, vendors, suppliers, and clients etc. is an advantage.
• Excellent communication in English.
• Result oriented and goal driven with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated strong stakeholder management capabilities to ensure the progression of projects
