Responsibilities:
- Support ongoing and tender projects for design andengineering matters.
- Work closely with the Consultants on including the scope ofservices, design concepts and project deliverables
- Handle clients clarification regarding tender, PQ andtechnical requirements
- Prepare and present design progress status and slides to theproject team and clients
- Manage design approval process with subcontractors,consultants and clients in a timely manner
- Ensure strict compliance with the design in accordance with contractual requirements
- Identify and highlight to management and the project team of any potential risks or issues that will impact project performance
- Prepare construction/ shop drawings with CAD Operators
- Design retaining wall for berth structure and interpret monitoring results
Requirements:
- Recognized bachelor's and master's degrees in civil/environmental engineering from a recognized University
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a main contractor or design consultant firm with involvement in large-scale marine projects with the works listed below.
o dredging and reclamation (volume of more than200,000m3),
o breakwater (length more than 300m),
o berth structure (berth length of more than 300m,depth -16m or more),
o container stacking yard (area 10ha or more), or
o equivalent to each of the above.
- The specific experience in geotechnical FEM analysis of steel pile sheet pile retaining wall and concrete thermal analysis of mass concrete structure would be advantages.
- Candidates who have a master's degree in civil/environmental engineering but fewer years of experience will be considered based on merit.
- Proficient in Design software: SAP2000, Plaxis, Slope W and ASTEA MACS or equivalent will be an advantage.
- Experienced in Japanese Port Design Standards.
- Excellent understanding of Value Engineering principles
- Positive working attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent team player, good interpersonal skills, and a can-do attitude.

- Ability to communicate articulately with consultants and subcontractors.
