Gather inputs on design requests from Engineering Managers.
Discuss design schemes, seek clarifications and provide information about engineering design aspects.
Prepare drawings / sketches with CAD team and resolve queries.
Approve final drawings, prepare design calculations and present to Engineering Manager.
Review, interpret and report results of all geotechnical instrumentation in accordance with the Instrumentation & Monitoring Generalised Plan of Action.
Guide engineers to execute design requests from Engineering Managers.
Develop and maintain design management tools for tracking, reporting and monitoring the progress and delivery of design packages.
Identify design delays at the earliest stage, investigate causes and proactively seek to mitigate any adverse impacts on procurement, fabrication, and construction.
Verify permanent works designs meets Client's specifications.
Liaise with the Client/Engineer and external parties for their feedback where applicable.
Monitor progress of work, check design for completion and efficiency by reviewing design calculations.
Review all designs for compliance with engineering principles and relevant design codes.
Ensure that all drawings are in adherence with CAD standards and company's operating procedures.
Proactively seek to optimise temporary works solutions, by eliminating risks during construction, maximising temporary works reuse and ensuring practical constructability.
Collaborate with designers and site operations teams to seek consensus on engineering solutions.
Conduct engineering reviews for tenders, post award / permanent works design by external consultants.
Engage with consultants, provide inputs, and seek clarifications.
Address critical concerns, resolve issues and provide solutions to Engineering Manager.
Facilitate collaboration between stakeholders to complete engineering design reviews and enhance efficiency.
Requirements
Total relevant experience: 3 years
Knowledge of Civil and Structural Engineering and Design (LTA projects experience preferred)
Knowledge of temporary and permanent works design in mega project size
Competent in planning and organizing work schedules and a demonstrated ability to deliver on time
Strong and clear communication skills with proven ability to engage with Engineers and stakeholders
