Design Consultant, Sales
As a Design Consultant (Sales), you play a key role in converting leads into confirmed projects. This role involves handling client enquiries, managing consultations, preparing quotations based on project requirements, and collaborating with interior designers and project managers to ensure a smooth transition from sales to design and project execution.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be detail-oriented, and able to communicate confidently to your clients. This role also requires a good comfortable level to work with numbers and structured project information for internal collaborations.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Client Engagement
- Understand client needs, design preferences, budgets, and timelines.
- Present the company's services, design processes, and pricing structures clearly and professionally.
- Build strong relationships with potential clients to enhance conversion rates.
- Schedule and coordinate in-person or virtual consultations with the design and project team.
- Bringing client with design team for shopping trips, and accompanying clients for material selections, with design team.
- Servicing clients on key milestones as part of their renovation journey.
Quotation & Pricing
- Prepare accurate and detailed quotations based on project scope, client requirements, and design team inputs.
- Understand cost components such as materials, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and design fees.
- Ensure all quotations comply with internal pricing guidelines and margin targets.
- Revise quotations promptly based on client feedback or changes in project scope.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of renovation costs, supplier pricing, and market benchmarks.
Sales Administration & Coordination
- Track all leads, follow-ups, and sales progress using the company CRM system.
- Prepare sales documents including proposals, service agreements, and client onboarding forms.
- Ensure proper handover of confirmed projects to designers, project managers, or contractors.
- Monitor and report weekly sales performance and pipeline status.
Collaboration
- Work closely with designers to clarify project scope and feasibility when preparing quotations.
- Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and contractors, when needed to gather updated pricing or technical information.
- Provide insights to the marketing team on client preferences and common questions to improve lead quality.
- Work closely with the design & project team to ensure accurate information and a smooth handover.
Market & Product Knowledge
- Stay updated on interior design trends, renovation materials, and pricing.
- Maintain knowledge of the firm's past projects and portfolio to support client discussions.
- Understand renovation regulations, permit requirements, and basic technical concepts (advantageous but trainable).
Qualifications
1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or client-facing roles (design, real estate, or lifestyle industries preferred but not required).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a warm, confident presence.
Ability to understand design concepts and translate them into client-friendly explanations.
Good numerical skills and the ability to prepare accurate quotations.
Highly organized, persistent, and comfortable managing multiple leads.
Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and drive to meet sales targets.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in interior design, ID sales, renovation sales, or project coordination.
- Understanding of renovation cost components and basic technical requirements.
- Ability to read simple floor plans.
- Multilingual ability to interact with diverse clients.
Salary :
- Monthly Renumeration of $2,000 - $3,500
- + Commission (Uncapped)
- + Performance-Incentive
- Average monthly earnings between $4.5k - $10k
