Job Description

Concept Design & Architecture

  • Lead the development and execution of Pizza Hut Asia's asset innovation and design strategies, ensuring all restaurant formats are consumer-relevant, insights-driven, and cost-effective.
  • Champion the delivery of world-class restaurant assets, positioning Pizza Hut as a global leader in design and customer experience.
  • Spearhead the consistent roll-out of comprehensive brand image standards across all consumer-facing touchpoints, ensuring alignment with the approved global design package.
  • Oversee the full franchise design process, including architectural plan submissions, reviews, approvals, and post-construction audits, to safeguard compliance with brand standards.
  • Evaluate and enhance restaurant layouts, equipment configurations, seating arrangements, and exterior elevations, providing creative input to strengthen both functionality and brand appeal.
  • Drive continuous research and innovation in restaurant design by incorporating regional insights, monitoring competitor benchmarks, and identifying emerging trends.
  • Proactively identify construction and design cost-saving opportunities, ensuring effective implementation without compromising quality or brand standards.
  • Maintain, update, and distribute design manuals, construction guidelines, and image enhancement resources to support consistent execution across the region.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to regional design consultants, architects, and construction suppliers to elevate design quality and execution.

Project Management

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to review and finalize design approval packages for all new builds, relocations, and remodels.
  • Manage the complete design approval process, including submission tracking, milestone reminders, and the generation of monthly progress reports for leadership visibility.
  • Coordinate closely with the Development team to track and manage the regional remodel portfolio, ensuring delivery against agreed obligations and timelines.
  • Conduct post-construction audits of newly built or remodeled restaurants, verifying adherence to global brand standards and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure timely upload of post-construction CAPEX data and asset information into internal dashboards and systems to support compliance, visibility, and performance tracking across markets.

Strategic Leadership

  • Act as a thought partner to Dallas central leadership, providing Asia-specific insights, competitive benchmarking, and recommendations to inform global retail design strategies.
  • Provide thought leadership in shaping and refining asset strategies and processes to accelerate image upgrades, optimize CAPEX, and drive long-term profitable growth.
  • Collaborate with General Managers, Development, and cross-functional partners to deliver against remodeling commitments and expand the new unit pipeline.
  • Drive process discipline and innovation to enhance the Pizza Hut business model, ensuring design and construction strategies support commercial objectives.
  • Champion sustainability across asset strategies by developing regionally relevant, environmentally responsible solutions that balance innovation, compliance, and cost efficiency.

Requirements

  • Degree-qualified Architect/Designer with 8+ years of experience in commercial and retail projects, ideally within a multi-unit operator environment.
  • Proven track record in CAPEX optimization and cost-efficiency initiatives (a strong advantage).
  • Demonstrated project management expertise, with the ability to deliver high-quality outcomes within fast-paced and deadline-driven environments.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing commercial/retail design experience, coupled with a solid understanding of consumer and retail design trends.
  • High proficiency in design and visualization software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, or similar tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to advise, train, and influence stakeholders across multiple functions and diverse cultural contexts.
  • Strong communication and follow-up capabilities, with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and keen attention to detail.
