Deputy Supply Chain Manager (EPC Procurement &Logistics)
Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic Deputy Supply Chain Manager to drive end-to-endsupply chain excellence for large-scale Oil & Gas EPC projects. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will be instrumental in synchronizing procurement, logistics, and vendor management to ensure the seamless delivery of mission-critical materials and equipment. This role demands a high-energyprofessional capable of balancing cost-efficiency with rigorous project timelines and international compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Execution: Support the development and implementation of robustprocurement and global logistics strategies tailored to complex EPC projectrequirements.
- Operational Coordination: Oversee the full lifecycle of purchasing,expediting, inspection, and multi-modal logistics to ensure all projectmilestones are met on schedule.
- Vendor Ecosystem Management: Act as the primary interface for vendorcommunications, managing technical clarifications and documentation in closealignment with engineering and project teams.
- Progress Monitoring & Risk Mitigation: Maintain real-time oversight ofprocurement status and material delivery schedules, proactively identifyingpotential bottlenecks and executing mitigation plans.
- Bid Evaluation & Support: Lead commercial and technical bid evaluations,collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to select high-performance partners.
- Logistics & Field Synchronization: Coordinate with global freightforwarders, third-party inspectors, and warehouse teams to ensure the integrityand timely arrival of materials at site.
- Governance & Compliance: Uphold strict adherence to project-specificprocedures, contractual obligations, and international trade regulations.
- Reporting: Maintain meticulous procurement records and generate high-levelstatus reports for senior project leadership.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
- 8 to 12 years of proven experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics management, specifically within the Oil & Gas or EPC sectors.
- Comprehensive understanding of EPC procurement workflows, global logistics networks, and sophisticated vendor management systems.
- Demonstrated success in coordinating with engineering, project management, and construction teams to achieve unified project goals.
- Exceptional negotiation, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously under demanding project schedules.
