DEPUTY MEDICAL DIRECTOR

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Medical Director to support the Medical Director in providing clinical leadership, maintaining high standards of patient care, and overseeing the effective delivery of medical services.

Key Responsibilities:
. Support the Medical Director in the overall clinical and medical management of the organisation.
. Provide clinical leadership and guidance to medical staff, promoting high standards of patient care, safety and professionalism.
. Assist in developing, implementing and reviewing clinical policies, protocols and quality improvement initiatives.
. Work closely with doctors, nurses, allied health professionals and management to ensure effective coordination of patient care and service delivery.
. Promote compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, professional standards and organisational policies.
. Support clinical governance, risk management, incident review and continuous quality improvement activities.
. Provide guidance on complex clinical and operational matters and facilitate appropriate escalation when required.
. Participate in the recruitment, orientation, supervision and professional development of medical staff.
. Support performance monitoring and encourage a culture of teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement.
. Collaborate with management on service development, workflow improvement and strategic clinical initiatives.
. Represent the medical team in relevant meetings and discussions with internal and external stakeholders when required.
. Deputise for the Medical Director when necessary.

Requirements:
. Recognised medical degree and valid registration with the relevant medical regulatory authority.
. Relevant postgraduate qualifications and/or specialist training will be an advantage.
. Relevant clinical and leadership experience, preferably with experience in a supervisory or management role.
. Strong communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills.
. Sound understanding of clinical governance, patient safety and healthcare quality standards.
. Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and manage clinical and operational priorities.
. Demonstrated professionalism, integrity and commitment to patient-centred care.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Medical Director and management team to strengthen clinical standards, support the medical team and contribute to the continued development of high-quality healthcare services.
