Deputy Manager - IT (Freight Technology Product)

Brief Summary

We are seeking a proactive Freight Management IT Product Assistant / Deputy Manager to spearhead the development and enhancement of freight technology solutions. This role combines expertise in product management with a focus on driving operational excellence and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain system architecture diagrams, outlining the technical roadmap aligned with business goals. Translate business requirements into detailed system narratives and technical design specifications. Develop and manage Power BI dashboards and automated reports for real-time freight performance visibility. Oversee the complete AI lifecycle to automate manual freight processes through intelligent agents. Prioritize team tasks using data-driven scoring systems while balancing feature enhancements with maintenance needs. Collaborate with stakeholders to transform complex requirements into actionable user stories and technical specifications. Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), conducting audits to measure effectiveness. Manage integration with third-party logistics platforms and maintain vendor relationships, ensuring adherence to service-level agreements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years in a technical role within logistics or freight forwarding. Proven ability to translate business needs into logical data models and functional specifications. Hands-on experience in managing integrations through RESTful APIs, SOAP, and EDI standards. Strong SQL proficiency for querying complex databases and experience with Power BI for data analysis. Familiarity with cloud environments and containerization technologies. Experience managing the full lifecycle of APIs, including documentation and monitoring. Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards related to customs and data privacy. Strong ability to lead technical transitions through effective change management practices. Proficient in agile project management tools such as Jira and Confluence. Preferred: Prior experience as a software developer or data engineer, along with relevant industry certifications.
