Job Summary

The Deputy General Manager (DGM) supports the General Manager by leading branch operations, managing credit and trade finance functions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving business objectives through effective leadership and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing the Branch's business plans, strategies, and objectives to drive growth and operational efficiency
• Oversee and coordinate Business Operations, Credit Operations, Customer Service, and General Administration to ensure seamless service delivery
• Manage the processing and delivery of banking products including Import and Export Letters of Credit, Documentary Collections, Remittances, Deposit Accounts, Clean Collections, and Cashier Services
• Review, assess, and approve credit proposals within delegated authority to maintain credit quality and portfolio risk
• Recommend credit applications exceeding authority limits to the General Manager and relevant approving authorities for timely decision-making
• Resolve operational issues, customer complaints, and service-related matters promptly to enhance customer satisfaction
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, correspondent banks, and key stakeholders to support business partnerships
• Participate in product, service, and operational system development to improve branch offerings and efficiency
• Provide technical guidance on banking operations, trade finance, and credit matters to ensure accurate and compliant practices
• Lead, develop, and motivate staff to achieve departmental and Branch objectives, fostering a high-performance culture
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, risk management standards, and internal controls to safeguard the Branch's integrity
