Responsibilities and Duties
. Develop and execute effective sales development strategies aligned with company capabilities and business plans to achieve or exceed assigned sales targets.
. Identify and develop unique selling propositions in collaboration with internal stakeholders to increase new customer acquisition and retention rates.
. Build a strong sales pipeline by actively identifying and pursuing new customer opportunities and effectively managing the sales process to close deals.
. Establish and manage a network of customer contacts at various levels to build strong, trusting relationships that foster long-term partnerships.
. Develop strategies to establish mutually beneficial partnerships with customers, transforming potential opportunities into actionable plans that deliver value.
. Maintain optimal sales volume, product mix, and selling price by staying current with market trends, competitor activity, and economic indicators.
. Analyze costs, competition, and supply and demand to optimize gross profit and adjust selling prices when necessary.
. Oversee coordination with relevant departments (e.g., operations) to ensure customer requirements are met effectively.
. Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for each secured customer and train relevant operational teams on these processes.
. Assist in resolving customer service issues as needed and maintain positive relationships.
. Update all sales activities in Salesforce to ensure accurate and timely monthly sales reporting to management.
. Collaborate with marketing and administration teams to develop and utilize effective marketing materials and customer-related information.
. Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by the reporting manager and country/global management.
Qualifications and Requirements
. Minimum 10 years of sales experience in Freight Forwarding or Logistics.
. Experience working within a multicultural environment.
. Bilingual in English and Chinese as Headquarters in Shanghai required writing in Chinese for reports.
. Strong understanding of the freight forwarding and supply chain solutions market, with a preference for specializations in specific industry verticals.
. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
. Proven ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
. Customer-centric approach with a focus on building and maintaining strong relationships. . Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
