Deputy General Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for a Deputy Branch Manager to support the Branch Manager in overseeing the operations of our interior design and fit-out business in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for project management, team coordination, budget planning, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects. The role includes supervising daily operations, maintaining relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors, and supporting business development activities. The candidate will act on behalf of the Branch Manager when required and will be expected to take on increasing management responsibilities. In the long term, the position is intended to develop into a Branch Manager role with full responsibility for branch operations, including corporate reporting, client relationship management, financial performance, human resources, and overall business management.

Responsibilities

• Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful completion within budget and schedule
• Coordinate and lead teams to optimize collaboration and productivity across projects
• Plan and monitor budgets to control costs and maximize profitability for each project
• Supervise daily branch operations to maintain smooth workflow and operational efficiency
• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors to support project success and business growth
• Support business development initiatives by identifying opportunities and assisting in client engagement
• Represent the Branch Manager in their absence, making decisions and managing branch activities as needed
• Develop leadership skills and assume increasing management responsibilities to prepare for full Branch Manager role
• Oversee corporate reporting, client relationship management, financial performance, human resources, and overall business management as part of career progression
