Deputy Engineering Manager (3D & Digital Modeling)
Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic Deputy Engineering Manager(3D/Model) to lead the digital twin and 3D modeling lifecycle for major Oil& Gas EPC projects. This role is central to our engineering execution, ensuring that multi-disciplinary designs are integrated into a seamless,clash-free, and constructible digital environment. You will bridge the gap between virtual design and physical fabrication, driving data consistency andmodel-based decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Digital Strategy & Coordination: Direct and synchronize 3D model development across all engineering disciplines (Piping, Structural, E&I, etc.) to maintain a Single Source of Truth.
- Quality Assurance: Enforce strict modeling standards, ensuring data consistency, attribute accuracy, and full compliance with project-specific digital protocols.
- Clash & Interface Management: Lead rigorous model reviews, automated clash detection cycles, and constructability assessments to resolve spatial conflicts before they reach the field.
- Multidisciplinary Integration: Act as the primary technical interface to resolve complex layout issues and inter-departmental design overlaps.
- Execution Support: Empower fabrication, construction, and installation teams by providing high-fidelity model outputs, 4D/5D data, and digital visualization tools.
- Lifecycle Management: Oversee the management of model revisions, updates, and the final digital handover (As-Built) to the client.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 10 to 15 years of professional experience in the Oil & Gas or EPC sector, with a heavy emphasis on 3D modeling coordination and digital project delivery.
- Expert-level proficiency in industry-standard 3D design platforms and workflows, specifically AVEVA E3D (Everything3D) or PDMS.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams, manage complex digital interfaces, and communicate effectively with project stakeholders.
- A sharp analytical mindset with the ability to navigate high-pressure project schedules and complex engineering challenges.
