At Joint Office of Academic Medicine, we play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare through supporting research, education and clinical care. We do so by working at the intersection of clinical practice and academic innovation within the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre.
We are seeking an experienced Deputy Director to provide strategic oversight and leadership across multiple teams within our Joint Office of Academic Medicine. This senior role offers the opportunity to influence academic medicine strategy, guide programme development, and foster collaboration between our clinical and academic communities whilst ensuring operational excellence across all initiatives.
You will provide strategic oversight for multiple teams, guiding strategic planning processes and academic funds management whilst supporting programme development initiatives. Your role encompasses developing engagement strategies for academic clinical programmes, residents, researchers, and clinicians, alongside overseeing communications, branding efforts, and institutional collaborations that strengthen our academic medical centre. As the centralised administrative coordinator, you will ensure equitable work distribution and facilitate seamless cross-team coordination for nominations, activities, and strategic projects. You will lead strategic planning coordination for academic medicine across the centre, manage comprehensive budget planning for the department, and oversee critical manpower matters including hiring processes and human resources issues.
Working closely with team leads, you will coordinate career development programmes for team members, develop internal work plans, and organise major institutional events that showcase our academic excellence. Additionally, you will represent the Joint Office at leadership meetings across SingHealth and Duke-NUS, chair Academic Medicine Administrators Meetings, and present Academic Medicine overviews at various institutional platforms, serving as a key ambassador for our collaborative academic mission.
Job Requirements:
. Bachelor's Degree in healthcare, administration, management, or related disciplines
. Minimum 14 years of experience in strategic planning, budget oversight, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement in academic medicine or healthcare settings
. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to engage diverse stakeholders
. Excellent leadership capabilities with meticulous attention to detail
. Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
. Experience representing organisations at senior leadership meetings and institutional platforms
