About the Role
Our client, a leading A1 main contractor, is looking for a Deputy Construction Manager to support the delivery of an MRT project in West Singapore with a contract value of around S$600 million. Working closely with the Project Manager, you will help run site operations and keep the project on track for scope, schedule, cost and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Project Manager in overseeing day-to-day site operations and delivery
Review tender and construction drawings, specifications and contract documents to ensure project requirements are fully understood
Take charge of technical matters and coordinate architectural and M&E works
Plan and sequence construction activities in line with the master and detailed programmes
Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers on site, and track progress against targets
Represent the project in meetings with the client and consultants, and liaise with authorities to resolve technical issues
Plan and manage manpower, plant and materials so that works are completed on time and within budget
Chair coordination meetings with Site Managers, Site Engineers and subcontractors
Uphold a safe and healthy workplace, with a strong focus on zero accidents and near misses
Ensure the site complies with statutory requirements and workplace safety and health standards

Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB)
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience with a main contractor
Experience in design and build underground MRT station projects
