To provide strategic leadership and technical oversight for the end-to-end execution of Outer Layer processes. Responsible for synchronizing complex chemical lines, high-precision imaging, and solder mask applications to ensure all multi-layer boards meet rigorous quality standards and yield targets.
1. Operational Excellence & Execution
Departmental Oversight: Direct daily operations across Outer Layer, Photo Printing, Chemical Processing, LPSM, AOI, and Specialized Finishing to consistently meet or exceed sectional KPIs.
Production Planning: Conduct high-level resource planning (Machine, Manpower, Method) to ensure maximum process capability and stringent control.
Workflow Optimization: Manage throughput to ensure jobs are processed at optimum speed, minimizing Work-in-Progress (WIP) and reducing turnaround time.
5S & Housekeeping: Ensure that the 5S standard of housekeeping is consistently maintained to provide a safe and world-class manufacturing environment.
2. Quality Control & Technical Integrity
Yield Improvement: Monitor scrap rates and partner with Quality Assurance to support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to implement Continuous Improvement (CI) strategies that maximize throughput and minimize rework.
Asset Performance: Partner with Maintenance to ensure all critical assets-including exposure units, developers, and printing presses-are calibrated, maintained, and operating at peak performance.
Environmental & Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations, particularly concerning chemical handling, outer layer, AOI, Photo-printing, LPSM & Printing.
3. Team Leadership & Talent Development
Strategic Manpower Planning: Manage budgeting and forecasting to ensure all sections are optimally staffed for 24/7 or peak-demand operations.
Training & Qualification: Ensure all engineers and technicians are rigorously trained, certified, and audited against the latest SOPs.
Professional Growth: Actively mentor and develop technical staff to reach their highest potential through structured career pathing.
Workplace Standards: Maintain manufacturing environment by upholding 5S housekeeping standards and fostering a culture of active participation in improvement programs.
4. Documentation & Compliance
Process Standardization: Ensure all technical documentation, SOPs, and work instructions are current, accurately revised, and strictly followed on the shop floor.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent industry experience).
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. With at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Printed Circuit Board (PCB) experience is a highly desirable advantage
Relevant working knowledge and technical competence in the PCB manufacturing industry
Processes trends would be an added advantage
