Demi Chef is responsible for preparing a consistent, high quality food product while ensuring a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service that supports the outlet's operating concept.
Responsibilities
Relays orders to his station cooks and ensures each menu item his station is responsible for is prepared on time.
Oversees all preparation, cooking and presentation for plates.
Ensure all food produced is in line with kitchen recipes and standards.
Assist with cooking, preparation and plating when station chefs are absent.
Ensures that all health and food safety standards are practiced and assist in troubleshooting any kitchen issues that may arise.
Supervise kitchen crew in the cleaning duties.
Order kitchen's inventory.
Maintain in good condition all kitchen equipment by following maintenance program.
Ensure consistency in standard and quality of all food items prepared.
