Job Overview:
The Demand & Supply Planning Executive is a newly created role within the Supply Chain function, responsible for establishing and managing the demand planning capability for the company's international business across AA, EMEA, and APAC regions.
This role will develop the foundational planning processes, forecasting methodologies, and data structures required to support effective demand planning. The position will work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure practical implementation and scalability across regions.
As this function is still evolving, the role requires a hands-on individual who is comfortable building processes while managing day-to-day execution, and who can operate effectively within a less structured environment.
At the same time, the position offers a unique opportunity to be part of the founding team, contributing to the establishment and development of the demand planning function from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and implement baseline demand planning processes, frameworks, and forecasting models.
- Develop and continuously refine demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and commercial inputs.
- Incorporate key demand drivers into forecasts, including promotions, tenders, new product introductions (NPI), and product lifecycle changes such as phase-in, phase-out, and end-of-life (EOL).
- Establish and maintain SKU master data and customer master data to support accurate planning and reporting.
- Monitor and analyze forecast accuracy, bias, and variance, identify root causes, and implement improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing teams to integrate market insights and commercial plans into demand forecasts.
- Translate business plans into clear demand signals to support supply planning and operational execution.
- Identify potential supply-demand gaps (e.g., shortages or excess inventory risks) and coordinate cross-functional actions to resolve them.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of planning processes, systems, and data quality.
Skills & Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or related roles within the FMCG industry.
- Experience in the Food & Beverage (F&B) sector will be an advantage.
- Hands-on experience working with ERP/MRP systems (SAP experience preferred).
- Strong capability in demand forecasting, with practical experience applying data analysis and statistical concepts in a business environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel experience with Power BI or similar analytical tools is a plus.
- Solid understanding of supply chain operations and inventory management principles.
- Strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently in a less structured environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines.
- Proactive, solution-driven mindset with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across different functions and regions.
- Ability to read and write Chinese in order to liaise with headquarters counterparts in China.
