Day Process Technician

Asahi Kasei Synthetic Rubber Singapore Pte. Ltd., a 100% subsidiary of Asahi Kasei Corporation (Japan), produces synthetic rubber called S-SBR in Jurong Island, Singapore. S-SBR enhances automobile tire performance in safety, fuel efficiency, and durability.

Job Summary

You will assist production and operation engineers in purchasing, data collection, and troubleshooting to support smooth chemical processing operations in a polymerization environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing of consumables and source new operational items to support production needs
• Collect data and samples alongside Operation Engineers to identify and resolve process issues
• Execute non-regular operational tasks under guidance from Operation Engineers
• Provide support for shift operation activities as needed to maintain continuous production
• Maintain safety standards, housekeeping, and compliance during routine operational activities

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or Nitec in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a chemical processing environment, preferably with polymerization or extrusion exposure
• Basic knowledge of chemical processing principles with practical working understanding
• Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel for documentation and data handling
