We are seeking a Day 2 Platform Administrator (Drupal CMS) to manage and support post-go-live operations of Drupal platforms. This role focuses on ensuring systems remain stable, secure, and compliant across multiple environments, including regulated and air-gapped on-premises setups.
You will work in a consulting environment, supporting multiple client platforms while maintaining high operational standards. There is also potential exposure to Neo4j graph database administration, with training provided.
Provide Day 2 operational support for Drupal CMS platforms, including application instances, web servers (Apache/Nginx), PHP runtime, and MySQL/MariaDB databases
Monitor platform health, availability, and performance across the full application stack
Perform routine maintenance, system checks, and troubleshooting across Drupal and Linux environments
Execute platform upgrades, Drupal core/module updates, security patches, and hotfixes following change management processes
Manage user onboarding and offboarding, including accounts, roles, permissions, and access controls
Support environment and project setup, including Drupal sites, database schemas, repositories, and deployment pipelines
Ensure access provisioning follows security policies and maintain accurate access records
Handle service requests such as access changes, configuration updates, and operational queries
Support change requests including module updates, database tuning, and system enhancements
Participate in impact assessments, implementation planning, and post-change validation
Ensure all changes follow ITSM processes and governance standards
Perform platform housekeeping such as log management, cache clearing, database maintenance, and storage cleanup
Support backup and restore activities and contribute to disaster recovery readiness
Manage CI/CD pipelines and ensure deployment processes remain operational
Maintain documentation, runbooks, and support audit and compliance activities
Operate in secure, air-gapped environments with strict controls
Apply security updates and implement system hardening measures
Work with infrastructure and security teams to resolve issues and maintain compliance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, engineers, and client stakeholders
Escalate risks, incidents, and operational issues in a timely manner
Contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes
Minimum 2 years of experience in platform administration, production support, or operations for Drupal CMS or web applications
Strong hands-on experience with Drupal 9/10 (site administration, configuration, module management, Drush CLI)
Experience with MySQL or MariaDB including backup, restore, and basic troubleshooting
Familiarity with Apache or Nginx web servers and reverse proxy configurations
Experience managing CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Git-based tools
Strong Linux administration skills including service management, log analysis, and file system operations
Working knowledge of PHP runtime configuration and performance tuning
Understanding of ITSM processes such as incident, service request, and change management
Experience working in on-premises or air-gapped environments
Ability to follow SOPs, runbooks, and operational procedures
Strong troubleshooting skills across application, database, and infrastructure layers
Experience in regulated environments such as public sector, financial services, or healthcare
Exposure to high-security or air-gapped systems
Familiarity with Composer and dependency management in Drupal projects
Experience with caching technologies such as Redis or Varnish
Knowledge of SSL/TLS certificate management and web security practices
Experience with containerisation tools such as Docker
Exposure to Neo4j or graph database platforms
