About the Role

We are looking for interns to work on Observability across the whole Database Stack at RisingWave. Some project examples include:

• Building more capabilities for granular CPU, Memory, I/O and Data skew profiling.
• Tools for bottleneck analysis in stream graphs.
• Logging and Metrics tuning.

You will collaborate closely with other engineers, to ensure we have robust coverage for Observability, and provide a better operational experience for our users and support engineers.

Qualifications

• 1+ years using streaming technologies or event-driven architectures.
• Experience with high-availability, high-performance data systems.
• Experience using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Strong technical skills to deep dive and uncover fresh Observability Requirements.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with engineers working on various components.
• Eligibility: Right to work in Singapore.
• Eligibility: Full time interns, for a minimum of 3 months. Prioritizing applicants who can start earlier.

Good to Have

• 1+ years in enhancing Observability for Distributed Systems.
• 1+ years in programming in Rust.
