A CMMI Level 5 Software and IT project execution company headquartered in Bangalore is hiring a through the Eazyway Platform, with 6+ years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database installation, configuration, maintenance, performance tuning, backup and recovery, security management, and ensuring high availability of database systems. The candidate should possess strong troubleshooting skills and experience in managing production database environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
• Monitor database performance and optimise queries, indexes, and configurations for improved efficiency.
• Perform database backup, restoration, disaster recovery, and data migration activities.
• Ensure database availability, reliability, scalability, and security.
• Manage replication, clustering, and high-availability database environments.
• Troubleshoot database issues, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective measures.
• Work closely with application development teams to support database-related requirements.
• Implement database security standards, user access controls, and compliance measures.
• Monitor database health using monitoring and alerting tools.
• Maintain database documentation, SOPs, and operational procedures.
• Support production deployments, patching, and database upgrades.
• Participate in on-call support and handle critical production incidents when required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a Database Administrator.
• Strong hands-on experience in MySQL administration.
• Good proficiency in PostgreSQL database management.
• Expertise in database performance tuning and query optimisation.
• Experience in backup and recovery strategies.
• Knowledge of replication, clustering, and high-availability solutions.
• Good understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Experience with database monitoring tools and automation scripts.
