Data Strategy Analyst(O&G)

Our client, a leading Oil & Gas major, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Strategy Analyst to be the primary data and digital focal point for their Singapore Business Unit. In this pivotal role, you will champion data excellence, lead impactful digital initiatives, and drive the adoption of AI tools to enhance business performance.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary technical authority for the business, providing expert guidance and support for data-related initiatives.

• Collaborate with the Global headquarter to align local initiatives with global standards and leverage existing data engineering resources.

• Lead digital transformation projects that automate tasks, improve decision-making, and deliver measurable business value.

• Identify, implement, and scale AI solutions to address specific business challenges and drive innovation.

• Establish and maintain data standards, ensuring security, compliance, and seamless integration with existing workflows.

• Manage data exchanges with external stakeholders, including customers and government authorities.

• Maintain and optimize the existing dashboard landscape to ensure continued relevance and value creation.

• Champion data quality and reliability across all business initiatives.

• Design and develop effective data visualizations and workflows to support autonomous business decision-making.

• Provide coaching and training to facilitate the adoption of new digital tools and processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics, Data Science, Mathematics, IT, or a related analytical discipline.

• 3-7 years of relevant work experience in data analysis, data engineering, or a related field.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large datasets.

• Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, reporting packages, and data visualization tools.

• Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS), data science platform tooling, and object-oriented scripting languages (e.g., Python).

• Experience with agile scrum methodologies.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey complex digital concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Inquisitive and self-driven mindset with a passion for learning emerging technologies (AI, LLMs, and new software).

• Strong teamwork skills and a collaborative approach.

• Business acumen and data control & governance mindset.
