We are seeking a motivated Data Scientist to join on a 1-year renewable contract. The Data Scientist will work closely with stakeholders to understand business challenges, translate them into analytical problems, and deliver impactful insights and predictive models that support data-driven decision making.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into data science projects.
- Perform data cleaning, pre-processing, and feature engineering to prepare high-quality datasets.
- Build and refine machine learning models to analyse data, identify patterns, and make predictions.
- Communicate findings through clear narratives and impactful visualisations to influence decision makers.
- Design dashboards and interactive visualisations for data exploration and storytelling when required.
- Manage project timelines, iterate analysis based on stakeholder feedback, and ensure high-quality outcomes.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields.
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant data science experience.
- Strong skills in data preparation, analysis, and feature engineering.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and machine learning.
- Solid understanding of probability, statistics, and data modelling methodologies.
- Experience building machine learning models for prediction and pattern recognition.
- Proficiency in designing visualisations and dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Python libraries.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
