Job Description

Job Description:

  • Partner directly with business stakeholders across Shopee Thailand to solve analytical problems and inform decision-making.
  • Design and analyze experiments (A/B tests), including hypothesis formulation, metric definition, impact evaluation, and interpretation.
  • Build and apply classical data science and statistical models (e.g. regression, tree-based models, forecasting) to support business use cases such as promotions, marketing, logistics, and operations.
  • Deliver clear, actionable insights and recommendations through presentations and discussions with stakeholders.
  • Develop lightweight data science solutions, including batch inference and API-based model usage (e.g. LLM APIs), where appropriate.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Econometrics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in data analytics, data science, or quantitative modeling roles.
  • Self-motivated with strong analytical thinking and business acumen.
  • Strong foundation in probability, statistics, machine learning, and AI.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python, with solid coding skills for data manipulation, modeling, and deployment.
  • Experience with experimentation and A/B testing frameworks.
  • Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to independently present and discuss insights with stakeholders.
  • Strong collaborator who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in e-commerce, marketing data science, forecasting, or delivering LLM-driven solutions is a plus.
