Requirements
Two types of Data Scientists are required:
- One with a Software Engineering background
- One with a Research background
1. Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- At least 2-3 years of relevant professional experience.
2. Core Data Science & Machine Learning Skillset
- Strong foundation in machine learning, with hands-on experience in model development and experimentation.
- Proficient in Python and experienced with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn.
- Skilled in analyzing model behavior, diagnosing training issues, and designing experiments to optimize performance and reliability.
3. Applied Research & Experimentation
- Proven ability to read, synthesize, and critically evaluate academic research and technical literature.
- Experience designing and conducting rigorous experiments to validate hypotheses and measure solution effectiveness.
- Comfortable working with ambiguous problems and developing novel approaches to complex challenges.
4. Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with privacy-enhancing technologies such as anonymization, synthetic data generation, or differential privacy.
- Familiarity with frontend integration workflows (e.g., Next.js, React).
- Prior experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.
5. Mindset & Collaboration
- Curious and eager to learn new domains, especially data privacy.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced Agile environment.
- Clear and effective communicator across diverse audiences.
