Job Overview:
- We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our Reality Labs team on an 8-month contract covering a team member on parental leave.
- You will turn complex supply chain data into actionable insights for VR devices and headsets, helping the team optimize shipping times, costs, and operational efficiency.
- You will provide both analysis and strategic recommendations to support decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports to support business decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and deliver analytical solutions.
- Utilize SQL, Python, R, or other analytical tools to perform analyses.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
- Focus on supply chain analytics for Reality Labs devices (e.g., shipping from manufacturing hubs to customers).
- Define success metrics, identify opportunities, and support measurement plans for launches.
Key Requirements:
- 4-7+ years of experience in data analytics, preferably in supply chain or logistics.
- Strong SQL skills: able to write queries, extract data, and solve complex problems.
- Experience in defining success metrics and performing strategic analysis.
- Proven project leadership and strong communication skills to influence and manage stakeholders.
- Able to participate in both technical execution and strategic discussions with senior teams.
