Data Scientist AI

Job Overview:

We are looking for a business-oriented Data Scientist / AI Project Lead to drive end-to-end Data Science and AI initiatives. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand challenges, translate requirements into actionable AI solutions, and collaborate with technical teams to deliver projects from ideation and prototyping through production deployment and operational handover.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage business stakeholders to understand operational challenges, gather requirements, and translate business needs into clearly defined Data Science and AI project objectives.
• Lead end-to-end AI/Data Science projects, covering project scoping, planning, execution, testing, deployment, operational handover, and closure.
• Define project deliverables, timelines, milestones, resources, and success criteria while ensuring alignment between business and technical teams.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure proposed AI/ML solutions are technically feasible and aligned with business requirements.
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, documentation, approvals, and stakeholder expectations to ensure successful and timely delivery.
• Apply Agile and Scrum methodologies to effectively manage AI and Data Science project delivery.
• Present project progress, technical findings, and outcomes clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Coordinate user testing, production readiness, official release, and smooth handover to BAU/support teams.
• Gather stakeholder feedback and identify opportunities to continuously improve project outcomes and delivery processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Technical Project Manager, Technical Product Owner, or similar delivery role supporting AI, Data Science, or data-driven products.
• Experiences in consultancy, banks, and prominent technology will be added advantage.
• Proven experience managing the full AI/Data Science project lifecycle, from ideation and requirements gathering through development, testing, production deployment, and operational handover.
• Good practical knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies, preferably within AI/ML or technical project environments.
• Familiarity with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to effectively bridge business requirements and technical solutions while working with cross-functional teams.
• Proactive, accountable, and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
