ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a Data Production Engineer to ensure the operational stability, reliability, and performance of critical Data Production systems within an international environment.

This role is fully RUN-oriented, focusing on production support, incident management, and data flow reliability across global data platforms. The engineer will operate within a broader Data Platform ecosystem (Kafka, Qlik, databases, reporting tools) supported by dedicated platform teams.

You will play a key role in ensuring data availability, consistency, and quality across enterprise data flows used worldwide.

YOUR MISSIONS

  • Data Production & RUN Operations (Core Mission)
  • Provide Level 2 / Level 3 production support for data applications and data pipelines.
  • Investigate and resolve complex production incidents related to:
    • Data pipelines
    • Batch processing workflows
    • Global platform performance issues
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Participate in incident bridges and ensure full follow-through until resolution.
  • Contribute to continuous reduction of recurring production issues and operational risks.
  • Monitoring & Production Stability
  • Monitor and supervise end-to-end data processing chains (batch and streaming).
  • Enhance monitoring, alerting, and proactive incident detection capabilities.
  • Maintain up-to-date production documentation, including runbooks and operational procedures.
  • Support production readiness during system releases, deployments, and change activities.
  • Interaction with the Data Platform Ecosystem
  • Collaborate closely with platform teams including DBA, Middleware, and Data Build teams.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Kafka-based data flows and global data architectures to:
    • Troubleshoot production issues efficiently
    • Coordinate resolution with platform and development teams

Note: Kafka development or platform maintenance is not part of the role.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minium 8 years of experience in Data Production Support, Application Support, or Data Operations.
  • Proven experience supporting production (RUN) environments and handling business-critical systems.
  • Experience providing L2/L3 production support, incident management, and Root Cause Analysis in RUN environments.
  • Good understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and databases (DB2, Oracle, MSSQL).
  • Comfortable working in Linux/Windows production environments.
  • Basic understanding of Kafka and batch/streaming data architectures.
  • Experience with monitoring tools, SLA-driven support, and on-call rotation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work in an international environment.
