Role Summary:
We are seeking a Solution Architect to design and oversee the technical architecture for our Databricks data platform POC. You will define the overall solution blueprint, ensure architectural best practices, and guide technical decision-making throughout the implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end data architecture using Databricks on AWS
- Define integration patterns for connecting diverse data sources (S3, RDS, APIs)
- Establish security architecture and data governance frameworks
- Create technical documentation and architectural blueprints
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the data engineering team
- Evaluate and recommend technology stack components
- Ensure scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness of the solution
- Review and approve technical designs and implementation approaches
Requirements
- 5-8+ years in solution architecture with focus on data platforms, preferably with previous Databricks implementation experience
- Deep expertise in AWS data services (S3, RDS, Glue, EMR)
- Strong knowledge of Databricks platform and Delta Lake architecture
- Experience with enterprise data governance and security frameworks
- Proven track record of designing scalable data solutions
- AWS Solutions Architect certification preferred
- Experience with Medallion Architecture and modern data stack implementations
