Job Description

Company / Role Overview

This opportunity sits within a large-scale finance transformation programme at a leading global financial services organisation undergoing multi-country ERP modernisation. The role focuses on supporting data migration and cutover activities for finance systems as part of a broader initiative to enhance financial operations, reporting capabilities, and decision-making processes. Working within a central delivery team, the individual will collaborate closely with finance, technology, and external delivery partners to ensure accurate data transition, operational readiness, and smooth system go-live across multiple business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of data migration and cutover activities, including defining scope, sequencing, timelines, and governance processes
  • Assist in designing and implementing data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation approaches in collaboration with business and technical stakeholders
  • Coordinate and support data extraction, cleansing, and loading processes into the target ERP system, ensuring completeness and accuracy of migrated data
  • Perform and support reconciliation activities (e.g. trial balance and subledger validations) to ensure data integrity, including obtaining business sign-offs
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of detailed cutover plans and runbooks, including supporting mock runs, dress rehearsals, and go-live execution
  • Facilitate coordination across cross-functional teams (finance, IT, vendors, and programme teams) to manage dependencies, risks, and issue resolution during cutover phases
  • Support operational readiness activities, including readiness assessments, tracking of milestones, and ensuring entry/exit criteria are met for key delivery stages
  • Assist in governance and reporting activities, including tracking progress, escalating risks, and supporting decision-making forums for go/no-go readiness

Job Requirements

Must-Have:

  • 3-7 years of experience in ERP implementations with exposure to data migration and/or cutover activities
  • Hands-on involvement in at least one end-to-end system implementation cycle, including go-live support
  • Experience working with ERP financial data, including data migration concepts such as mapping, cleansing, and reconciliation
  • Exposure to ERP data migration tools or methods used for bulk data handling and system uploads
  • Strong stakeholder coordination skills, with the ability to work across business, technology, and vendor teams
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced, time-critical environments with strong problem-solving and execution capabilities

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with Oracle-based ERP platforms or similar financial systems
  • Prior exposure to finance transformation programmes or financial reporting processes
  • Experience working in global or multi-country programme environments
  • Familiarity with complex accounting standards or regulatory reporting requirements
  • Relevant certifications in project delivery, ERP systems, or testing frameworks
