Consultant - Integration Engineer Job Description
Primary Purpose
We are seeking a skilled Integration Engineer for our next-generation Air Traffic Management (ATM) platform. You will work with modern technologies, enabling real-time data-driven decision-making for safer and more efficient airspace operations. While not mandatory, familiarity with AI/Gen AI concepts and aviation data is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable batch and streaming pipelines using modern tools like AWS, Databricks etc
- Implement reliable data processing, transformation, and storage with a focus on performance, security, and governance.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and domain experts to ensure the platform supports advanced analytics and AI-readiness.
- Optimize pipelines for resilience, observability, and cost-effectiveness using monitoring and automation tools.
- Maintain clear documentation and contribute to continuous improvements in data architecture.
Core Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge with aviation domain data such asARINC 424, ARINC 633, and X.400 message parsing, including experience with RANS billing or navigation datasets in custom/proprietary formats
- Strong command of geospatial processing using tools like FME, MapInfo, or ArcGIS with custom Python toolboxes, with working knowledge of formats such as WKT, GML, and GeoTIFF.
- Exposure to graph databases such as Neo4J, or RDF stores, with ability to work in air-gapped environments.
- Experience working with Apache Crunch and Oozie especially for long-running batch and workflow processing on Hadoop clusters.
- Practical knowledge of monitoring tool - StackOps with Kibana.
- Strong ability to debug and work with low-level geodesy algorithms, spatial projections (e.g., Lambert Conformal Conic, WGS 72), and transform pipelines across multiple Coordinate Reference Systems (CRS).
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to structured data lake designs such as staging raw, validated, and enriched datasets.
- Familiarity with AI-driven data enrichment or rule-based agent frameworks.
- Familiarity with integrating real-time streams like ADS-B or METAR with structured airspace or weather datasets for downstream analytics.
- Esri certifications (e.g., ArcGIS Desktop, Enterprise Geodata Management, or Spatial Analyst) are a plus.
