- Implement data audit, acquisition, and monitoring processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Partner with engineering and analytics teams to define and maintain clear standards for data structure, categorization, and lineage.
- Design and enforce permissioning policies that align with regulatory standards, operational needs, and cost-efficiency goals.
- Collaborate with data engineers to apply modern architectural principles (e.g., medallion architecture) to support scalable, reliable, and performant data pipelines.
- Maintain a central data catalog and user-friendly documentation that enables discoverability and drives adoption across technical and non-technical teams.
- Serve as a governance evangelist, aligning stakeholders across business and technology to a shared vision of high-integrity, high-impact data.
What Were Looking For:
- Degree in Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Significant experience in data governance within financial services, preferably in asset management, hedge funds, or multi-asset environments.
- Strong working knowledge of buy-side operations (front, middle, and risk functions).
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native platforms (Azure, AWS) and modern data stacks (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake).
- Skilled in SQL, Python, and familiar with governance tools such as Collibra, Alation, or Informatica.
- Deep understanding of multi-asset class data, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and alternatives.
- Strong communicator and collaborator with a problem-solving mindset and a passion for building scalable, future-ready data systems.
