Data Governance Lead Asset & Investment Management
We're partnering with a high-performing investment manager to hire a hands-on Data Governance Lead. This role will play a critical part in building and embedding governance practices across research, AI, risk, and execution data enabling high-quality, scalable data products that support the front office, risk, and operations teams.
What you'll do:
- Establish and run a data governance framework (discovery, sourcing, delivery, permissioning, stewardship).
- Oversee data acquisition and due diligence, ensuring compliance, quality, and business fit.
- Define and enforce standards for data normalization, classification, metadata, and lineage across multi-asset data.
- Manage sensitive data, access controls, and usage metering.
- Partner with data engineering to support modern architectures (Databricks, Azure, Snowflake).
- Champion governance principles and act as the bridge between business stakeholders and data teams.
What we're looking for:
- Strong track record in data governance, quality, or management within asset management, hedge funds, or multi-asset financial institutions.
- Deep understanding of buy-side workflows (front office, risk, middle office).
- Experience with multi-asset class data (equities, fixed income, derivatives, alternatives).
- Familiarity with modern data platforms and governance tools.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business requirements.
