The Data Entry & Migration Executive will assist the team's registrar function in data entry and migration of their existing Animal Data Management System. This includes converting and transferring large amounts of data using Microsoft Excel or other tools as appropriate.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the Population Sustainability Team's registrar function in the data migration of the Animal Data Management System.
- Process, manage, and organize a mix of qualitative and quantitative data pertaining to animals and plants of the Singapore Oceanarium.
- Manually extract, convert, add or transfer data across databases or data sheets.
- Fill up gaps in historical data with paper trail if required.
- Manage the database's operations and governance, including configuration, permissions, hardening standards, naming standards, and documentation.
- Comb through the datasets to flag and amend any discrepancies and errors as set out by the registrar.
- Build reconciliation reports (counts, checksums, balances) when required.
- Perform data analytics to generate insights of the data where required.
- Support administrative matters including paperwork processing when required.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma in data science or information technology or in a relevant field.
- Candidates with equivalent or similar qualifications/ certifications in a relevant field may also apply.
- Prior experience in data migration or database administration would be advantageous.
- Prior experience using RStudio, or a keen interest in data science would be advantageous.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Meticulous and detail oriented.
