You will act as a key member of the Data Consulting team, working directly with partners and senior client stakeholders to design and implement big data and analytics solutions. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, along with a problem-solving mindset.
Essential Technical Skills:
- Technical expertise with emerging Big Data technologies such as: Python, Spark, Hadoop, Clojure, Git, SQL, Databricks
- Visualization tools: Tableau and Power BI
- Experience with cloud, container, and microservices infrastructures
- Experience working with divergent data sets to meet Data Science and Data Analytics team requirements
- Hands-on experience with data modeling, query techniques, and complexity analysis
Desirable Skills:
- Experience/knowledge of working in an agile environment (Scrum preferred)
- Experience working with development teams and product owners to understand requirements
- Relevant certifications preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop data solutions within Big Data Azure and/or other cloud environments
- Work with divergent data sets to support Data Science and Data Analytics teams
- Build and design data architectures using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, Synapse
- Liaise with CTO, Product Owners, and Operations teams to deliver engineering roadmaps (upgrades, technical refreshes, new versions)
- Perform data mapping activities including source-to-target transformations
- Assist Data Analyst teams in developing KPIs and reporting using Power BI and Tableau
- Data integration, transformation, and modeling
- Maintain relevant documentation and knowledge bases
- Research and suggest new database products, services, and protocols
