Join a leading investment management firm in driving technology and data uplift. This role will make a large impact on the business and how they operate from a technology standpoint. The firm is focused on enhancing its data infrastructure to support new investment strategies and maintaining pipelines within their data platform that will power multi asset investment strategies, risk management and AI workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines to collect, clean, and process structured and unstructured financial datasets.
- Develop and maintain data models, databases, and storage solutions to support quantitative research and trading.
- Partner with discretionary portfolio managers to deliver reliable and timely data to aid AI driven decision-making.
- Implement data quality controls, monitoring, and validation frameworks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Advocate for data governance concentrating on standards, lineage, metadata and security to ensure compliance and reliability across the data ecosystem.
- Drive automation and efficiency in data workflows, ETL/ELT utilities, leveraging cloud and distributed systems.
About you:
- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and familiarity with distributed systems (Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, etc.).
- Minimum 5 years Experience in data engineering with a focus designing and implementing data architectures.
- Experience working with market data feeds and investment-related datasets
- Strong knowledge of data lakehouse and open table formats (Iceberg, Delta Lake, Parquet).
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and modern data warehousing technologies (Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift).
- Proven track record of building and supporting data infrastructure in a high-performance or financial environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ownership and ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
