Data Engineer - Job Requirements

Educational Qualification

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.

Experience

• Minimum 6 years of experience in data engineering.
• Expertise in AWS or Azure services, Databricks, and/or Informatica IDMC.
• Hands-on experience across all phases of the project lifecycle, with involvement in at least 4 project implementations.

Technical Skills

ETL & Data Processing

• Strong expertise in AWS Services (focus on ETL).
• Proficiency in Informatica PowerCenter, IDMC, CDI-PC, Informatica Data Engineering Integration (DEI).
• Solid understanding of data integration, ETL processes, and data quality management.
• Skilled in designing and implementing ETL mappings, transformations, and workflows.

Performance & Data Solutions

• Ability to evaluate and recommend technical solutions for data-related issues.
• Skilled in performance assessment for complex transformations and long-running processes.

Business Intelligence (BI)

• Strong in BI data model design.
• Proficiency in Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) and Tableau.
• Working knowledge of BI-related languages: Python, C#, Java, VBA.

Databases & SQL

• Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Key SQL expertise in Oracle, Teradata, and MS-SQL Server.

Other Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective team player with proven collaboration skills to ensure delivery targets are met.

Certifications (Preferred)

• AWS Associate / Professional / Specialty certifications.
• Databricks certifications.

Domain Knowledge (Preferred)

• Experience in the healthcare industry.
• Broad understanding of healthcare processes (patient administration, medical & non-medical services).
