Data Engineer

We are partnered with an established firm looking for a versatile Data Platform Engineer to join their enterprise investment systems team in Singapore.

In this role, you will be instrumental in architecting and modernising data ingestion pipelines and business data platforms that directly empower investment and operational decision-makers. Working at the intersection of data engineering, software development, and product ownership, you will collaborate closely with non-technical business partners to deliver reliable, end-to-end data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

. Architect, implement, and maintain resilient data pipelines to unify disparate business and operational data sources into a central cloud warehouse.

. Build scalable analytical data models and reusable data layers that facilitate self-service business intelligence and operational reporting.

. Partner directly with business stakeholders across divisions to translate ambiguous commercial requirements into functional technical deliverables.

. Champion data quality, pipeline monitoring, and automated controls to guarantee audit-ready data delivery.

Requirements:

. Proven track record building enterprise data pipelines, with solid expertise in modern cloud data warehouses, especially Snowflake.

. Strong programming foundations, ideally with Python, alongside advanced SQL proficiency.

. Working knowledge of BI platforms such as Qlik Sense or Power BI is an advantage.

. Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with comfort driving conversations with business users.

High autonomy, a self-starter mindset, and willingness to wear multiple hats across engineering, product coordination, and analysis.
